RTG led the PS&E for Section 1 (SH 121- West of University Drive to IH 30; IH 30-University Drive to Summit Street), a $122M project which includes the interchange between SH 121T and IH 30. This roject required 1.5 miles of IH 30 reconstruction, one-mile of SH 121 on new location, new mainlane bridges over the Clear Fork Trinity River, two connector bridges over the UPRR, IH 30 frontage roads, reconstruction of Forest Park Boulevard and University Drive, and 16 ramps. RTG tasks included management and coordination, IH 30 drainage, pavement marking and small sign layouts sheets, retaining wall layouts, and design cross-sections/earthwork.
